So, what’s happening at the minute?

Marketing Manager at Sheridan Lifts and chief blogger!

It’s probably around that kind of time where I’m due to give you all a little update on our forthcoming lift installations. You lucky people you!

It’s been a really positive month so far and we are starting to look ahead to Christmas – although there is plenty of work to be done before we can think of putting our feet up and relaxing! One of the great things about our business is that there is always someone on call throughout the UK to respond in case of emergency.

So, first up on the horizon is the work we are carrying out at a well-known supermarket chain. Oh go on then, its Tesco. The store is located in Sheffield on Kilner Way Retail Park and we have been appointed by our client Havercroft Construction Ltd.

We will be installing a two-stop, 26 person goods lift here and work is anticipated to commence on 24th October 2019.

We’re also over in Yorkshire, this time in the city of Leeds for installation of two Kleemann passenger lifts for our client Henry Boot. Here we will be located at the Leeds Grand Theatre on New Briggate. The theatre has played host to an array of big name productions and actors over the years and recently celebrated its 141st birthday, so there’s a fair bit of history there!

Naturally our works here will involve sensitivity and as little disruption to proceedings as possible.

This attractive theatre houses 1,500 people and here we will be installing two passenger lifts on site, one a 15 person, 1125kg passenger lift and the other a larger, 2200Kg passenger lift catering for 28 passengers.

Works here will be commenced in due course with a date still to be confirmed.

And for the last job I’m going to report, we head further up north up to Durham where we have been appointed by our client Interserve to provide two platform lifts at Durham University.

The beautiful city of Durham is not an alien location for us to work and in fact we’ve already carried out several projects there this year including installation of lifts at Durham Gate North.

Here we will be utilising the Aritco 7000 Series platform lift and works on the first lift are scheduled on 14 October with the second lift pencilled in for 9 December.

Do keep checking back on our blog for more information and I’ll be posting updates on the projects above in due course.
