We’ve just been over to Hazel Grove and dropped off our bags of presents for this year’s Mission Christmas Cash for Kids appeal.

Over the past couple of weeks we invited our staff and the wider public to donate to this fantastic cause which aims to ensure that no child goes without a Christmas present this year.

The office reception area has been home to a vast swathe of gifts which we bagged up earlier and loaded into the van before hitting the M60 to the drop off point with our driver Alex Whittaker.

It is shocking that 1 in 3 homes in Manchester this year are unable to provide central heating or hot food, we are sure you’ll agree that’s a pretty upsetting statistic.

Accompanying him on the journey I had a nice chat with Alex about his day to day role here as one of our lift engineers.

To be honest, it’s also quite nice to finally clear the reception and get these gifts off to their new owners. Here’s me and Amanda with the gifts all bagged up and ready.

Our Managing Director Tony Sheridan commented:

I met Jessica Rigby from Hits Radio this morning (pictured here with Alex Whittaker) who told me:

“We are well on course to beat last year’s amazing total of 38,000 presents. So far we are on 25,000 so thank you so much to everyone who has donated and to the guys at Sheridan Lifts for all their efforts”

This isn’t the end of our efforts in the community as we now focus on collecting winter coats and warm clothing for the Christmas Comforts and Big Coat Day 2019.
