Marketing Manager at Sheridan Lifts and chief blogger!

Over the past few weeks, staff from Sheridan Lifts have been donating brand new presents for underprivileged children in Greater Manchester and our offices have acted as a drop off point for the general public to donate gifts too.

As you can see from the pictures we have been overwhelmed by the response.

What began as a cute little pile of gifts under our reception desk has grown into a slightly larger pile under our Christmas tree last week to what it is today, a huge array of presents in our reception area!

This is testament to the generosity not only of our staff but also of the wider public who have dropped off their contributions with us.

Gifts have been collected this morning by the radio station – thankfully they brought a decent sized van with them and here are some our staff helping them to load it up with the gifts for the kids! To be honest it is quite nice to have our reception area back to normal and we are delighted that all of this has been for such a worthy cause, as no child should ever not be given a present at Christmas time.

A huge thank you goes out to our very own Natalie Alexopoulos who has championed this project from the beginning, and encouraged people to get involved! We would also like to say a huge thank you to the very brave Paul Knight who has volunteered to sit the ice bucket challenge next week! The very mention of this has raised funds in the office with his colleagues happy to part with suggested donation of £10 to soak him to the skin in our staff car park! These funds helped us to buy more presents for the children and he will duly undergo his icy experience next week (when the weather is hopefully slightly better!)

This is an absolutely wonderful effort from everyone concerned and we thank everyone for their help and kindness in supporting this fantastic appeal by Hits Radio.

Well done everyone!
