Well, that’s exactly what you’ll get with a stay at this luxurious 4* hotel located close to the Crooked Spire town of Chesterfield. It looks beautiful and somewhere to take your other half as a real treat.

Sheridan Lifts will soon be on site here, working sensitively with the hotel and guests on upgrading the lifts. We are scheduled to fit a service lift and a passenger lift, and as with many other aspects of the hotel, the brief was provide something a little bit special, namely a GOLD lift!

So here is the artists impression of the passenger lift which we are sure will look a million dollars once it is fitted and functional. We will update this blog with images as soon as we have them.
A little bit more about the hotel now. Famed for its opulent dining, Van Dyk holds a 1 Rosette certificate and is home to two of the best restaurants in the region – namely Southgate Brasserie and The Chapel.

At Southgate you’ll find fine cuisine complimented by outstanding service.

A quick glance at the menu brings up brings up delights like Rack of Derbyshire Lamb, Beef Bourgignon with honey glazed vegetables or the Van Dyk classic burger with smoked cheddar and red onion marmalade. I’m hungry just keying all this out!

The hotel is a popular choice for weddings too, aided by its picture-perfect gardens which make for ideal wedding photographs with rolling countryside set against the backdrop of the white painted hotel. When the sun shines it looks like a typical English country garden.

A sensational ballroom and 15 guest bedrooms make the venue fully bookable for an entire party.
