You might think we’re a little late on reporting this one, but I say better late than never when it comes to delivering chocolate for the good people of Manchester!

Following an SOS call last week from Manchester City Council, Sheridan Lifts were promptly sprung into action.

We were reliably informed that the Centre Manager of Whitemoss Youth Club on Charlestown Road had ordered, through the City Council, 150 Easter eggs to be distributed to local groups and children from vulnerable families. But there was a problem.

The eggs were located at the New Smithfield Market, ready for collection. Unfortunately as the Centre Manager is 72 years old, with no vehicle, he was unable to collect the eggs and struggling to find someone who could. Never one to miss an opportunity to lend a helping hand, Lewis here at Sheridan’s was onto this in a flash!

Our amazing engineers duly collected and delivered these 150 eggs to the youth centre. Here they are with Lewis above and below.

Centre Manager John Biggs said:

“Many Thanks to everyone at Sheridan Lifts this morning for dropping off the 150 Eggs to Whitemoss. We are delighted to be now getting these to our local children and vulnerable people.

Sheridan Lifts provided two gentleman who kindly dropped of a quantity to Chatterbox to deliver to vulnerable people and we have arranged for Acacia Lodge and Each Step to receive quantities of Easter Eggs. Thanks to everyone for their input that has made it possible under these difficult times of Covid-19″.
