As you know, the Sheridan Lifts team have been busy down at the DIY SOS site helping to build homes for veterans in Miles Platting. Well, we were treated to a very royal visit today down at the project as Princes William and Harry came down to see how the work was going.

As you can imagine, everyone got a little bit excited at the prospect of being amongst royalty and it was a bit of a novelty seeing them walking around in hoodies, Hi-Vis vests and hard hats with their names on!

The Princes had a look around the site and it was brilliant to see them take a special interest in such an important, local community project. They even got their hands dirty! Of course, in between all the hard work we’ve been putting in getting the disabled access platform lift installed before the deadline, we managed to take a few snaps of the royals having their tour – and even a couple of videos.

We’ve been overwhelmed with all the positive messages we’ve been receiving on social media from you all, but really we just feel privileged to be the lift company chosen to be involved. It’s important to give back to the community and it’s an amazing project to be a part of.

Here are a few pictures from the site, but if you’d like to see more you can flick through our dedicated album on Facebook.
