Marketing Manager at Sheridan Lifts and chief blogger!

We are currently working with our long standing, highly valued client Kellogg’s GB at their factory site in Greater Manchester. Throughout the ongoing coronavirus pandemic the site at Kellogg’s GB has remained fully open and functional albeit it with strict admittance / access procedures in place.

As you’ll know, Kellogg’s are the multi-national food production company providing breakfast cereals and snacks to the general public. Sheridan Lifts were chosen many years ago to work alongside them and we have enjoyed an excellent working relationship ever since.

In short, the work being undertaken is a full replacement of the traction sheave on their ECM lift. Pictures to illustrate can be seen below.

This a 5 tonne goods lift and once the sheave is replaced we will be replacing the main hoist ropes. Replacement of the sheave and ropes will take us approximately one week.

All lifting equipment and props are currently on site to facilitate this heavy engineering job.

Father and son partnership Randall and Ryan Sheridan are based here permanently and were kind enough to show me around the factory earlier this year on my lift induction.

Our main repair engineer is on site with Randall carrying out the complexities of this job.
